Travel writing clips

"Memories of Australia" - This travelogue about my 2000 experience in Australia garnered me an honorable mention with Travel and Transitions.com.

"Exploring the Depths of Lake Murray" - I'm very fortunate to live near a popular sailing and other watersports lake. This is a story of its history I wrote for Carolina Currents magazine, which covers North and South Carolina.

"EdVenture" - Though I had written about this children's museum many times locally, I finally got to share with others online about this place, thanks to writer and editor Shannon Lane and her Gifted Travel Web site.

"Vacation from Hell" - I was very pleased to win third place for this essay-writing contest out of 43 contestants. It chronicles a 2005 trip to New York City that was filled with mishaps. Here is the Web link to the contest site.
